Led By Kate Capps

Fourth Monday of every month, 6:00pm

Our purpose through the Women’s Ministry is to empower, strengthen, and encourage women to their full potential in God by helping one another gain knowledge and purpose. Join us for a night of fellowship, a powerful message, and delicious food. We encourage you to bring a friend! All women of all ages are welcome.

Meet Kate Capps

Kate has been a part of our Palmetto Community Church family since 2008.  She has had the opportunity and pleasure to serve in many different roles over the years; in our Nursery, Adventure Bay/Kidzone, Kitchen Team, and has had immense fun doing many Vacation Bible Schools; serving different functions each year.  She has now gravitated to leading our Women’s Ministry.

Kate introduces herself as an ArKentuckaseean (TN).  As a Navy brat her family traveled around the US a bit, finally settling in SC. As a middle child with five siblings, she has learned patience and resilience.

Kate and Bill have been married 29 years with a daughter and four bonus sons.  Retired from the City of Charleston after 30 years of service in multiple departments. She is known in some circles as The Mediator, she likes to connect people’s needs with other’s abilities.  She is an Encourager, with a heart to serve the Lord.

On Monday April 28th, we all gathered to Fellowship while Bonnie shared via YouTube a Beautiful Devotional “Beauty for Ashes.”
Isiah 61: 1-3. Jesus has taken away our ashes and provided us with a head dress of beauty, he as anointed us with the oil of joy all for God’s Glory. She reflected on the Oaks that line the streets on Hwy 61. They stand tall and strong in God’s glory. We are to demonstrate his Glory and splendor as we stand strong in our faith as we go out in the world.

Brookdale Senior Living

Seven of our ladies met at Brookdale Senior Living on Saturday April 26th to love on the residents of the Memory Care Unit.

We painted the ladies’ nails and fixed their hair. We also provided a snack to the ladies and the men. We enjoyed talking with them and helping them feel special.
